Baseball Players of the Week - Week 1
Week 1 - 2/2/26 to 2/8/26
Pitcher – This week's Pitcher of the Week comes from Lamar CC - Benicio Marchiondo, who delivered a strong and gritty outing on the mound, tossing four innings to earn the win in a hard-fought contest vs Garden City. Marchiondo allowed four total runs, with two earned, while giving up just one hit across his appearance. Despite facing some adversity, he showed poise and composure, limiting hard contact and keeping his team within striking distance. The right-hander was especially sharp when it mattered most, racking up six strikeouts over his four innings of work. His ability to miss bats proved crucial, as he worked out of tough situations and prevented big innings from developing.
Player – This week's Player of the Week comes from Southeast CC - Jack Hogan, who delivered a performance, going an incredible 6-for-10 at the plate with three home runs and five RBIs in a dominant display of offensive firepower vs Odessa. Between his three long balls, he consistently found gaps in the defense, finishing with six total hits in ten trips to the plate. His five RBIs came in crucial moments, driving in runs that shifted momentum and kept pressure on the opposing pitching staff.
Congratulations Benicio and Jack!
